A judge in the Central District of California granted a motion to dismiss Waymaker filed for a client who was alleged to have mishandled cryptocurrency transactions for two individuals in 2018. The plaintiffs also claimed they missed the window to swap their temporary tokens for the replacement tokens and lost their initial investment, alleging Waymaker’s client failed to keep them informed. In response to Waymaker’s motion to dismiss the second amended complaint, the judge dismissed, with prejudice, the sole federal securities claim and declined to exercise supplemental jurisdiction over the remaining four state law claims.
